The Barcelona Declaration in Switzerland
Academic decision making is informed by research data analytics and indicators. Open sources allow for full access and the possibility to reuse the relevant academic data. They are therefore the key to transparent research assessment. The signatories of the Barcelona Declaration commit to openness of research information, in both using and producing it, and fostering openness across platforms and infrastructures. For this spring event of the Swiss Open Academic Data (SOAD) community, we invited representatives from the first three Swiss signatories of the Barcelona Declaration. You will learn their motivation for signing the declaration and you will know what their current and planned measures are to commit to the signed declaration. After the individual presentations, you will also have the opportunity to ask questions around it.
